Josh Groban Announces North American Concerts for 2011 :
Josh Groban has announced the North American 2011 tour dates and ticket on-sale concert dates for the 'Straight to You' Tour in 2011, which visits cities across the U.S. and Canada beginning May 12th in New Orleans. In addition to the three concert dates announced previously (Dallas, Kansas City, MO, and Moline, IL), confirmed dates and concerts are listed below, along with ticket on-sale dates. More upcoming dates will be announced soon. This is the first Josh Groban full-scale global arena tour since 2007, when the internationally renowned singer and songwriter hit the road for his hugely successful, sold-out 81-city 'Awake' World Tour.

The 'Straight to You' Tour will bring the feel of a theater experience to an arena setting through stage design, lighting and projection, as well as through the spontaneity and interactivity Groban delighted his fans with during last year's 'Before We Begin' shows, in which he solicited feedback from the audience on which songs should be included in the set-list. As a result, for the 'Straight to You' shows, he will continue to interact with audiences and perform favorites from his best-selling albums, including his self-titled debut, Closer, and Awake, as well as songs from Illuminations.

Josh Groban Announces Concert Dates for 2011 World Tour :
This past Valentine's Day, Josh Groban thrilled fans by announcing the launch of his 2011 World Tour on NBC's The Today Show. Now, the multi-platinum recording artist has announced the North American tour dates and ticket on-sale dates for the 'Straight To You' Tour for 2011, which visits cities across the U.S. and Canada beginning May 12th in New Orleans. Released by 143/Reprise Records on November 15th, Illuminations debuted at No. 4 on Billboard's Top 200 chart, selling 191,337 units in its first week. Entertainment Weekly declared that "Illuminations might be Josh Groban handsomest effort yet." USA Today raved: "Illuminations yields glowing music. Sturdy, deeply personal statements, brimming with poignancy." The New York Times also praised the album, saying it "showcases the entertainer's songwriting" and "reflects the conviction that gallantry can also be pensive and uncertain."
Josh Groban recently performed the National Anthem at the 60th Annual NBA All-Star Game in Los Angeles. He will be a guest-host on Live with Regis & Kelly on March 4th 2011.

Josh Groban Biography
Pop and classical singer Josh Groban made his debut in the seventh grade, but then put music aside for a few years until he enrolled at the Interlochen Arts Program. In late 1998, he hooked up with a friend of his vocal coach, producer/writer/arranger David Foster. Josh Groban worked for Foster as a rehearsal singer on a series of high-profile events, including the California gubernatorial inauguration of Grey Davis and the Grammy Awards (at which he rehearsed Foster's "The Prayer" with Celine Dion in place of Andrea Bocelli). He was accepted into the theater department of Carnegie Mellon University, but put his education on hold when he was offered a recording contract at Warner Bros. through Foster's 143 imprint. .... full Josh Groban biography
